Η Ευρυνόμη Αυδή έχει πτυχίο Φυσικής (University College of London, UK) και Ψυχολογίας (University of Leeds, UK), μεταπτυχιακό δίπλωμα στη Δραματοθεραπεία (Roehampton Institute, University of Surrey, UK) και διδακτορικό δίπλωμα στην Κλινική Ψυχολογία (University of Birmingham UK). Είναι διευθύντρια του Εργαστηρίου Εφαρμοσμένης Ψυχολογίας, του Τμήματος Ψυχολογίας Α.Π.Θ., όπου εκπονεί κλινικό έργο, κλινική εποπτεία και έρευνα στο πεδίο της κλινικής ψυχολογίας. Επιπλέον, έχει εκπαιδευτεί στην Ψυχανάλυση και Ψυχαναλυτική Ψυχοθεραπεία και είναι μέλος της Επιστημονικής Επιτροπής της Βορειοελλαδικής Ψυχαναλυτικής Ψυχοθεραπείας.

Είναι μέλος της ομάδας σύνταξης των επιστημονικών περιοδικών European Journal of Psychotherapy and Counselling και Journal of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Έχει συμμετάσχει και συντονίσει αρκετά ερευνητικά προγράμματα στο πεδίο της έρευνας της ψυχοθεραπείας και της κλινικής ψυχολογίας, και είναι μέλος πολλών επιστημονικών εταιρειών. Πέρα από την έρευνα και τη διδασκαλία σε προπτυχιακό και μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο στο Τμήμα Ψυχολογίας, ασκεί κλινικό έργο και κλινική εποπτεία στο πλαίσιο του Εργαστηρίου Εφαρμοσμένης Ψυχολογίας.

Τα ερευνητικά ενδιαφέροντά μου εντάσσονται στο πεδίο της κλινικής ψυχολογίας και αφορούν ειδικότερα τη μελέτη της διεργασίας της ψυχοθεραπείας (ψυχαναλυτικής, συστημικής και γονέα-βρέφους), την εμπειρία της χρόνιας και σοβαρής ασθένειας, και την ψυχαναλυτική κατανόηση κοινωνικών φαινομένων, χρησιμοποιώντας ποιοτικές μεθόδους έρευνας, κυρίως μεταδομική ανάλυση λόγου και αφηγηματική ανάλυση. Η έρευνά μου στο πεδίο της ψυχοθεραπείας επικεντρώνεται στις διεργασίες ανακατασκευής του νοήματος στο πλαίσιο της θεραπευτικής σχέσης. Ενδιαφέρομαι ιδιαίτερα για τη συμβολή στην πορεία της θεραπείας συνειδητών/ ρητών όψεων της θεραπευτικής αλληλεπίδρασης με άρρητες, διαδικαστικές, μη συνειδητές πτυχές της θεραπευτικής σχέσης , με απώτερο στόχο την καλύτερη κατανόηση της διεργασίας της ψυχοθεραπείας.
