The teaching subject of the Department covers the fields of Social Psychology and its applications in the community (Interpersonal Relations, Intra-group phenomena, Inter-group Relations, International Relations and Conflicts, Research Methodology and Applications), Organizational Psychology (Organizational Structure and Culture, Organizational Change, Work Characteristics and Work Wellbeing, Attitudes and Organizational Behavior), and Clinical Psychology (Personality Theories, Psychosocial Systems, Social Exclusion, Institutionalization-Dis-institutionalization, Psychopathology, Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and Health Psychology), and Clinical Psychology (Personality Theories, Psychosocial Systems, Social Exclusion, Institutionalization-Dis-institutionalization, Psychopathology, Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and Health Psychology).
Research Subject
The main research directions in the field of Social and Organizational Psychology include research on minorities, racism, prejudice and social discrimination, social identities and intergroup relations in community and organizations, effects of organizational context on the individual and the group, social movements and social psychological approaches to international conflicts. In the field of Clinical Psychology, research activity extends to issues of institutionalization and deinstitutionalization, social exclusion, coping with chronic illness, the process of psychotherapy, the experience and coping with mental suffering and critical examination of psychopathology. In the Department of Social and Clinical Psychology, both quantitative and qualitative research approaches are applied to the study of issues related to the theory and practice of social and clinical psychology.
