The European program “Career Guidance from an Early Age” (CAGEA) (Erasmus+ KA2) aims to empower secondary school teachers and parents to effectively support students in exploring educational and career options from an early age. The main purpose of the project is to support career guidance activities for secondary school students by training their teachers and developing career guidance tools that will be available to all members of the school community. The goal is for students to be able to make informed decisions about their studies and future work that are in line with their interests, abilities, and the demands of the labor market.
CAGEA is being implemented by eight partners in five European countries (Greece, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Spain, and Portugal), including universities, schools, and research institutes. This collaboration ensures the exchange of good practices, the scientific validity of the actions, and the cultural adaptation of the interventions. The Department of Psychology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki participates as a partner in the project, under the scientific leadership of Christina Athanasiades, Professor of Counseling Psychology.
