Anastasia Alevriadou  obtained her BA degree (specialization in Psychology) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, earned her M.Sc. degree in Cognitive Psychology, and her Ph.D. at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Department of Psychology (1998). She previously served on the faculty of the University of Western Macedonia, School of Social Sciences and Humanities (2000-2021). She served as a director of the MA program “Bilingual Special Education” (2014-2018). She has authored more than 150 articles in Greek and international journals and 7 books on special education issues. She has also participated in many European and International conferences. She is a member of many Greeks and International Associations of Psychology and Special Education. She has participated in many international research programmes. She was Fulbright Scholar in psychology/special education in 2019, at the Nisonger Center of Developmental Disabilities, Ohio State University, USA. She has also been Visiting Professor at the University of Cyprus and at the University of Ostrava in Czech Republic and in many Greek Universities. From September 2021, she has been a faculty member, as Full Professor, at the School of Psychology, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
